nothing much at all

has been happening lately, although the days seem to be flying by for some reason. i think it’s because i spent last weekend and monday on koya-san and wakayama city, which will be blogged about in time to come.

tuesday brought a delicious lasagne meal – courtesy of costco and the american geek who lives in my building. half a family-size delicious lasagne each, mashed potatoes, fruit cake, tea.. yum. was a great feast for the heath check on wednesday – got my blood drawn and an xray done, among others. turns out i’ve shrunk a bit, and am a bit less heavy than i thought i am. hooray? still a bit too heavy in my opinion though, and will have to work on that.

i might have blogged about this before, but kansai scene is a free magazine with articles, movie reviews, event listings and so on for the kansai area. it’s a rather useful magazine i think, for finding out what’s going on in this area if you’re interested in checking out exhibitions, concerts and so on. kansai time out – which isnt free – ended its run either this month or last month, which makes kansai scene the magazine with the best listings in town.

what i like the best about it are the personal ads though. there’s this section titled “friendship”, where quite a lot of pple post adverts to find a man/woman. and every month you have at least 1 good one, such as:

“WHO KNOWS HOW TO TREAT A WOMAN? SJF, has nice body, late 30s, needs a single guy who knows how to treat a woman. I just broke up with my ex-boyfriend. I need somebody to forget everything. If you have confidence, please make me happy!”

to be honest i’m not sure what exactly she’s wants by reading that ad; whether she wants a good man or whether she just wants a good ****. there’s also another this month, which i think takes the cake:

“SEEKING A BODY-CONSCIOUS WOMAN. A gentle male in his 30s seeks a girl who takes care of her body, health and loves sensual things. For example, a girl who enjoys yoga, pilates, likes going to esthetique salons and massages. Please feel free to mail and enjoy with me! Email: japanesestallion@h******.com.”

like huh? that ad is wrong on so many levels!
