Hida Folk Village (Hida no sato) - Takayama

one of the main attractions of takayama is the Hida Folk Village, where there’re collections of various folk houses. it’s very much like the osaka’s museum of ethnic folk houses that i visited and blogged about last year, just that this is bigger and has more impressive houses.

the fish in this pond were crazy though. see them fighting for bread:
