CIR positions for Singaporeans

i just heard yesterday that CIR positions for singaporeans are available only if a current singaporean CIR is leaving the programme -  apparently there’s a tendency to hire the people from the same country for the exact same position?

i have no idea, though that would explain why some years there are openings for CIR positions, whereas in other years – like mine – there arent.

if anyone knows anything about this, please let me know!

meanwhile i think the deadline for this year’s JET application is approaching – if anyone out here has any questions, i’m at your service :)

good luck!

Hi Joanne! Can i check with you if our application form can be hand-written and not typed out? Cause its stated that the details should be typed out, but the form is in PDF format. Thanks for your help! (:

yup...there's no CIR position for SG this year too...not sure if this yr ALT position will be reduced due to the cost cutting measures.Kinda worry abt it..though the no. of SG participants seem to be increasing each year..Well good luck to all of us whom had submitted in our application...hope the mailman don't lose our mail...

thanks for all your comments! i'm glad you're finding my blog useful :)

i handwrote my application form i think, because the word document it came in was formatted so poorly it was easier to write than type. my statement of purpose and the parts that required more elaboration were typed out though.
