an autumn night in kyoto

one of my favourite things about autumn is the night light-ups of some temples in kyoto. the temple grounds will be packed, but the illuminated leaves and temple structures are extremely beautiful.

i commented to the brit today that i only went autumn leaves viewing once this year, which is a lot less compared to last year, and he responded that he went only once last year and that was enough.

meh. my humble opinion is that he doesnt know how to appreciate the beautiful autumn colours that you get here :P haha.

anyway, we were at eikando, which was rather near nanzenji and ginkakuji too (silver pavillion)

so many people were taking pictures of this bridge, but i felt that it was the least attractive part of the temple as it was over-illuminated:
