i cant believe that i’ve yet to post all the pictures yet! and it’s been so long ago that i dont think i have much to say anymore, just perhaps to enjoy the pictures!
here’s the yasukuni shrine – it doesnt seem any different from any other shrine in japan, despite the hype and publicity over it:
pretty flowers at the tokyo metropolitan offices
going up the viewing towers was free, although the view wasnt really spectacular. i liked this building very much though:
it looks like a giant shiny lipstick!
at the ghibli museum in mikata: (couldnt take photos within the museum building itself)
this creature from laputa had grass growing out from its butt:
the Ghibli Museum is definitely a must-see, as there’re some pretty cool things in there! it’s not too big though, there’re lots of children. tickets must be booked in advance and they sell out fast, so plan well if you want to visit! watch out for your head when you’re there as well, as carelessness can be fatal:
we also went to odaiba where we saw a wall-E installation at the Fuji TV station building:
from odaiba, you can also see the tokyo tower (in the distance) and the statue of liberty that japanese people so love:
there werent that many things to take pictures of in yokohama. we went there on a day where there was some street parade, so the chinatown was awfully packed and so we didnt see much of it at all as it was too much to take:
i tried my hand at taking pictures of flowers though:
i know i’m not very good though, and will try harder. wonder if there will be flowers for me to take pictures of in china..
at landmark tower, the tallest building in japan, there was this interesting installation:
of course we had to go up – the view was quite good! there isnt much in yokohama though.. haha
cosmo 21 (that’s the name of the ferris wheel i think) and the surrouding amusement park
check out all the cars above!
in the distance:
we went to the ferris wheel at night, and it was a long long wait – about an hour or more? :S
and of course, everyone in the queue were either couples or families, with the occasional odd same-sex pairing..
